NUMA methodology
How a NUMA result is made.
NUMA tests are editorial reflection tools. They use transparent weighted scoring to describe everyday patterns without presenting entertainment results as psychological diagnosis.
One narrow question per test
Each test begins with a specific subject such as texting pace, conflict, friendship roles or first impressions. We avoid treating one quiz as a complete map of personality. A narrower question makes the result easier to interpret and discuss.
Scenario-based questions
Every test contains 12 multiple-choice scenarios. Options are written to represent plausible differences rather than an obvious “best” answer. We review questions for duplicate meaning, moral judgement and language that could pressure a visitor toward a flattering response.
Five scoring signals
Answers add or subtract weight across five dimensions specific to that test. NUMA normalises the totals and compares the complete signal pattern with six editorial prototypes. The closest profile becomes the result; no single answer determines it.
Editorial profiles, not diagnoses
Result profiles are written around a recognisable strength, a possible blind spot and the way the pattern may affect other people. They are not validated clinical scales and should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, employment, education, legal decisions or compatibility claims.
Privacy by default
Answers and completed results are stored in the visitor’s browser so the Circle feature can combine completed tests. NUMA does not require an account and does not send individual answer choices to a personal profile.
Revision
We revise questions when wording is confusing, answer options overlap or a result repeatedly fails to distinguish the intended pattern. Material changes are reviewed across the full test so scoring remains internally consistent.
